Cobra Electronics Corporation is a leading global designer and marketer of mobile communications and navigation products in the United States, Canada, Europe and throughout the world. Since creating the world’s first CB radio over 50 years ago, the Company has developed a large offering of innovative products suitable for professional drivers, driving enthusiasts, outdoor recreational enthusiasts, and recreational boaters. These products include radar detectors, professional navigation systems and two-way radios.
Ameridan’s Role:
Ameridan was engaged by a leading private equity group to conduct market diligence. Our work focused primarily on the Company’s position in the travel center channel. The engagement provided: (1) an assessment of the U.S. market for CB radios, power inverters, and radar/laser detectors (sold through travel centers), including sales trends, market drivers, and positioning of top competitors.
