The Erosion Company (“TEC”) is an Atlanta, Georgia-based provider of a comprehensive set of erosion control products and services including silt fencing, tree protection fencing, hydroseeding, and NPDES monitoring. Its customers include homebuilders and commercial/residential construction contractors.
Ameridan was engaged by a Pittsburgh-based private equity group to conduct customer and market diligence. The scope of the diligence work included:
- Assessing the overall size and competitive structure of the Southeastern US market for E&S services;
- Impacts of the Clean Water Act, and other governmental regulations, on the demand for E&S services, including how any proposed regulatory changes might impact the Company;
- The Company’s organic and inorganic growth potential;
- The Company’s overall relationships with its key customers, encompassing customer views of the Company’s quality, service, competitive position, differentiation, competitive strengths & weaknesses, pricing, and management.
