Raybestos, headquartered in Crawfordsville, Indiana, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributors of transmission-related friction products, supplying OE-quality aftermarket products for automotive and heavy-duty use. The company also supplies OE bands, clutch plates, torque converter wafers and Clutch-Pack® modules for General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Mercedes, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Nissan, Volkswagen, Volvo, and other transmission applications.
Ameridan’s Role:
A leading private equity group engaged Ameridan to conduct industry and customer diligence. The assignment focused on (1) assessing the company’s relationships with key OE and aftermarket customers, (2) the size, structure, and key dynamics in the friction plate aftermarket; and (3) the company’s competitive position in rapidly changing end-use markets.
