Situation:

Pioneer Window is a New York-based manufacturer of aluminum and glass façade systems for the New York City public school system, public housing projects, residential apartments, and condominiums across the NYC metropolitan area.

Pioneer's in-house staff designs, engineers, manufactures and installs all of its own products. The Company's 375,000+ sq. ft. of manufacturing facilities are located in Johnstown, NY.

Ameridan’s Role:

A private equity firm that was considering a potential investment reached out to Ameridan to assist with its due-diligence efforts.

The diligence services project was focused on obtaining direct customer feedback regarding perceptions of the Company relative to the competition, recent Company performance, the near-term business outlook, and other relevant issues. 

In addition, the scope included providing high-level market information/insights related to:

• Competitive dynamics in the NYC metropolitan area, focused on the differences between the public and private markets;
• Recent trends in the NYC private market and the implications for Pioneer;
• An overview of three metropolitan markets outside NYC, focusing on demand trends and the factors likely to affect the Company’s ability to expand into these markets.

The transaction closed in November 2024.
