Situation:

MJM Yachts is a premier yacht manufacturer known for producing high performance, luxury Downeast-style powerboats. The company has a dedicated 190,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Washington, NC.

Ameridan’s Role:

Ameridan was engaged by a private equity group to obtain dealer feedback regarding perceptions of the Company relative to the competition, the Company’s recent performance, the near-term business outlook, and other issues.

Ameridan interviewed all of the Company's dealers as well as a variety of new and used yacht dealers across the USA with a focus on obtaining their opinions (both positive and negative) about MJM boats in relation to alternative brands as well as the competitive positioning of various boat manufacturers. 

The transaction closed in August 2023.
